Professor Emilio Escartin has over 23 years of experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital and Investment Banking (Islamic and Conventional), having managed and launched six Private Equity Funds in Europe (four Private Equity Funds for SMEs) and the Middle East (one Islamic Private Equity Fund for SMEs and one VC Fund of Funds). Professor Escartin has deep knowledge of Professional Standards for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Industry (ILPA, IPEV, EVCA), having taken part in the whole life cycle of a Private Equity Fund: fundraising, legal structuring and placement, hunting, investing, monitoring and exits. Professor Escartin has also worked closely with Entrepreneurs, Startups and SMEs and has experience in Islamic Banking and Finance (Shari’ah Compliant) products.
