These threats, or risks, could stem from a wide variety of sources, for example, financial uncertainty, legal liabilities, strategic management errors, accidents and natural disasters. GRC views risk management as a key component in the pursuit of a successful business strategy and a way to improve stakeholder satisfaction and secure anticipated profit.
